Frost and freezing temperatures are expected for two to three hours late tonight and early Thursday, with lows dropping into the mid 20s for valleys around Truckee and Lake Tahoe.

The coldest valleys will experience below freezing temperatures for up to five hours.

The Weather Service is recommending people and nurseries with sensitive plants take steps to protect them before sunset.
