Main Street Gardnerville creates Adopt-a-Pot program

With the success of the Basket of Flowers program over the past couple of years, the Main Street Gardnerville Design & Flower Committees are offering another great opportunity to become a part of the beautification of downtown Gardnerville with the Adopt-a-Pot program.

The adoptive businesses will be required to water the flowers, but will be provided with the instructions on how to keep them blooming throughout the season. There are a limited number of pots available, so place your orders now. A minimum donation of $40 is requested to Adopt-a-Pot.

Later this month, Main Street Gardnerville volunteers, with the help of the Town of Gardnerville, will place large street pots with blooming flowers on the sidewalks outside the adoptive businesses, so that the community and visitors will be able to admire the flowers all summer long.

Last year, the program received several requests from residents to Adopt-a-Pot for someone's favorite business. This is a wonderful way to say thank you to that special business for their friendly and dedicated service to you over the years.

For more information on the Adopt-a-Pot program, or to volunteer, contact Main Street Gardnerville at info@mainstreetgardnerville.org or 782.8027.
