Crab feed benefits MeFiYi, Austin's House

The second annual Jethro's King Crab & Steak Feed will be held 5-9 p.m. July 9 on the parking lot at Jethro's Oven & Grille located at 1281 Kimmerling Road in the Gardnerville Ranchos. A complete dinner is $25, with reserved tables of eight available for $200. The dinner offers a choice of a one-pound serving of king crab legs or a 12-ounce rib eye steak, both with all the trimmings. Hot dog meals can also be purchased for $5.

There are dozens of raffle prizes along with a live auction for a fiddle signed by the legendary Charlie Daniels. Prizes include a $500 shopping spree at Scheels in Sparks or Lira's Market in Minden.

All proceeds from the event will be used to help youth in Carson Valley. This year's recipients are MeFiYi Foundation, Austin's House and the Douglas High School leadership class. The MeFiYi Foundation will donate to Douglas High School volleyball and provide additional college scholarships for the Molly Youth Awards.

Tickets for Jethro's King Crab & Steak Feed are available at Jethro's Oven & Grille, JT Basque Bar and Dining Room, Lira's Market, Full Belly Deli, and Century 21 Clark Properties. Tickets may also be ordered by phone with a credit card by calling Austin's House at 267-6711. A limited number of tickets are available and last year's event was a complete sell out.
