Costs more not to maintain roads

EDITOR:

This week I was asked about the time, effort and money put into some recent street resealing being performed in Gardnerville. Good inquiry, and I was happy that people took notice and had enough interest to ask.

In short, Gardnerville performs this routine maintenance in order to prevent cracking of streets that would require more expensive fixes in the future. It's almost always more cost effective to maintain and prevent than fix.
