The Carson Valley Shepherds have just returned from the Eastern Sierra Tri-County Fair and Junior Livestock Show in Bishop, Calif., and were represented by Cheyenne Bidart, Emily Hone, Ethan McKinney, Leah McKinney, and Kelsey Nalder.

Their places in the market classes were: Class 2 - Cheyenne sixth and Ethan eighth; Class 3 - Emily eighth; Class 4 - Leah sixth; and Class 5 - Kelsey fifth. Ethan and Emily showed in the junior showmanship class and Leah placed seventh.

In the senior showmanship class Cheyenne placed first and Kelsey placed third. Cheyenne went on to show in Master Showmanship and was second overall. All of the Shepherds and two of their siblings, Caitlyn Bidart and Amanda Hone, entered the judging contest and Caitlyn was named first-place junior judge.

Thank you Nita Vick, our leader, for all of your time and energy with our projects and at the fair. We would also like to thank our parents for their support and time.

Congratulations to everyone and good luck with the Nevada State Fair coming up Aug. 25-29. 4-H is a youth development program of the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension.
