Three charged in Johnson Lane vehicle burglaries

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has reported a large increase of vehicle burglaries in Douglas County in 2010.

An investigation began and, in cooperation with Carson City Sheriff's department, a search warrant was served at a residence on Dori Drive in Carson City on July 14. The search resulted in over one hundred and fifty items of stolen property being recovered.

The following persons have been arrested and charged with possession of stolen property and vehicle burglary. Bryan Gaudette, 27, Heather Olea, 22, and Christopher Butz, 18, and are being held at the Carson City Jail. Andrue Madden, 18, is still being sought by law enforcement.

If you have been a victim of vehicle burglary in the Johnson Lane area of Douglas County since March 1, 2010 through now, and have reported the crime to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, your property may have been recovered and we need your assistance in identifying it.

You may come to the Carson City Sheriff's office on Monday, July 26, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. to identify property.
