County commissioners will probably accept East Fork Justice of the Peace Jim EnEarl's resignation today and officially open the vacancy to start taking applications. Any qualified voter in the East Fork Township is eligible to apply.
Commissioners are also discussing $5.57 million in bonds to make improvements to the Valley and Lake water systems. If the bonds go through, it will be a on a single reading, "as if an emergency exists." Commissioners meet 1:30 p.m. today at the Tahoe Transportation Center in Stateline.
If you're going to the Lake for the commission meeting there's shoulder construction work on Kingsbury, so leave early, or go around Spooner.
