Former Douglas County resident John Lippertz, 74, died Jan. 13, 2010.
He was born Jan. 3, 1936, to Walter and Mabel Lippertz.
John lived in Topaz Ranch Estates for many years and worked for Douglas County.
At his request his body was donated to the University of California, San Francisco, Willed Body Program.
His ashes will be scattered at sea.
