Basketball: Wizards cap tough week with 96-86 win over Kings

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Washington Wizards managed to end 1 of the most dismal, exhausting weeks in franchise history with a victory, giving coach Flip Saunders his 600th career win by beating the Sacramento Kings 96-86 on Saturday night.

Caron Butler scored 19 points to lead five players in double figures for the Wizards, who on the previous day had their biggest star plead guilty to a felony gun charge and on the previous evening had lost a double-overtime game at Chicago.

Saunders improved his coaching record to 600-422, needing five tries to reach his latest milestone after a 4-game losing streak. Antawn Jamison scored 14 points, Earl Boykins had 13, Nick Young added 12, and Brendan Haywood had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Wizards.
