CVI donates child center materials to Boys & Girls Club

The Boys & Girls Club of Carson Valley was recently a recipient of many wonderful items donated by the Carson Valley Inn that used to make up their child center. Even though the child care center is closing at the Carson Valley Inn, the items will be put to great use.

We were thrilled to receive the call that led to the donation of board games that will be used daily in the club's game section by all members of the club. Art supplies such as construction paper, markers, colored pencils, and storage bins were also donated and will be cut, colored, glued and organized into many different projects and creations.

Donated children's books will be added to our club library that will be used not only during free time but also during our "Power Hour" program that requires members to work on homework or read.

The Boys & Girls Club of Carson Valley plays such an important role in the lives of our youth and because it is a not-for-profit organization that relies on grants, foundations, fundraisers and donations in order to charge our families only $15 a year in annual membership, donations such as this one truly make a difference in the daily activities provided by a club that enables all youth to reach their full potential.
