Commission set to make board appointments

In addition to selecting a chair and vice chair for 2010, Douglas County commissioners are to make several appointments to the county's volunteer advisory boards.

In many cases, incumbents are seeking re-appointment to the boards which cover a wide range of county business from senior services to the airport advisory committee.

Board members serve without compensation and must be residents of Douglas County. Other requirements vary, according to the board.

Applications were accepted through Dec. 18.
