The R-C Morning Report

Heavenly reported 10 inches of new snow from Wednesday's storm. Up on Ebbetts Pass the storm added 9 inches of snow over two days, which added nearly two more inches of water for the Carson River during irrigation season. Nearly a fifth of an inch of rain fell in Carson Valley starting Tuesday night.

The Record-Courier is hosting an open house 4-6 p.m. to meet new Publisher Niki Gladys. There will be snacks and wine served. The newspaper's located in The Record-Courier Building, 1503 Highway 395, Suite G for Gardnerville.

We'll get a break from the rain today with partly sunny skies and a high temperature near 54 degrees. The first chance of precipitation will roll in early Friday morning, increasing through the day and Saturday. We shouldn't expect much snow with this one, but we could see a third of an inch of rain.
