Robert Alan Richardson

A celebration of life is scheduled for May 30, 2010, at Lampe Park for longtime Gardnerville resident Robert Alan Richardson, 43, who died Feb. 16, 2010.

Born Feb. 25, 1966, in Santa Ana, Calif., to Mary and Jack Richardson, he moved to Nevada in 1974. He graduated with honors from Douglas High School in 1984, and attended the University of Nevada, Reno, and the University of London, England.

Known as "Rob," "Bobby," or "Uncle Bob" to his theater kids, he was involved in the theater both as an actor and behind the scenes. He directed several plays in Reno, Carson Valley, Oregon, Washington and Mississippi. He worked in a wide range of fields, from keno supervisor to tracking DNA at the University of Washington.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary and Donald Setsodi; his father and stepmother Jack and Virginia Richardson; sisters Robin Grueninger and Kristi Fraser and their families.
