The R-C Morning Report

Road controls are in effect in the mountains, including chains or snow tires on Kingsbury Grade and Spooner Summit. All three routes over the Sierra require chains or four-wheel drive. If you're going into the mountains, you should be prepared for snow.

When commissioners meet next week they'll be greeted by a very different look in their chambers. The rows of theater seating will be gone, unbolted from the floor and replaced by chairs, making the space usable for other things, like early voting. The witness stand where staff sat has been placed on wheels and will be available for anyone who testifies at commission meetings. The carpet comes up on Monday, and the space should be ready by Thursday.

It's raining out this morning, something it's likely to do throughout the day. Meanwhile another winter storm is bearing down on us and is due in on Friday. About .04 inches of rain fell in the Ranchos.
