At her request, no service will be held for 13-year Gardnerville resident Barbara June Prince, 82, who died Feb. 13, 2010.
Born June 19, 1927, in Los Angeles, to Frank and Ethel Prince, she retired from Pacific Telephone as an engineer in 1979 after 33 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, sports, sewing, doing counted cross-stitch, and visiting the Carson Valley Inn.
She moved to Gardnerville in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bob.
She is survived by her friend Audree Phillips, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made in her name to St. Mary's Hospice, 18653 Wedge Parkway, Reno, NV, 89511.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
