A funeral service is 11 a.m. today at FitzHenry's Funeral Home for Minden resident Marie Marangi, 75, who died of cancer Feb. 8, 2010, in Gardnerville. A memorial service will follow the funeral at 1 p.m. today in Sharkey's banquet room.
Born May 23, 1934, in Lakewood, N.J., to Floyd Eger and Beatrice Messner, she married Joe Marangi Feb. 17, 1973, in Hollywood, Calif.
She worked as an insurance agent, living most of her life in California.
She was preceded in death by husband Joe Marangi, who died in September.
She is survived by sons Mark Josef Marangi and Donald Richard Hosea; daughters Kim Marie Wallace, Kelley Diane Hosea; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Interment will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
