Library hosts local authors Saturday

Seven local authors will sell their books, meet readers, and sign autographs at An Afternoon with Local Authors, 2-4 p.m. Saturday, at the Douglas County Public Library, 1625 Library Lane in Minden.

Todd Borg is the author of the Owen McKenna mystery series set at Lake Tahoe. His latest book is "Tahoe Night."

Dianna Maria de Borges is the daughter-in-law of Sam Borges and author of a book about Borges Sleigh Rides at Lake Tahoe.

Carson Valley author Soozie Lewis' book, "The Bloomingsons of the Nevada Sage," is about a fictional Carson Valley family from 1967.

Carson City resident Tim Mueller's book, "Home Runs & Jackpots: Baseball in Nevada," tells the history of players Lyle Overbay, Matt Williams, Ray Fosse and Bud Beasley.

Stan Paher's newest book is "Nevada Ghost Towns and Desert Atlas."

Minden lawyer Tom Perkins' photographs are featured in the book, "Nevada's Historic Buildings: a Cultural Legacy."

Julia Wells was inspired to write her book, "Blessed Be," when her husband was diagnosed with cancer.
