Judge orders 90 meetings in 90 days

A mother of six was ordered to attend 90 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings over 90 days or face 30 days in jail.

Christine Arlene Prax, 46, was in custody for an alternative sentencing violation. She had been given a 30-day suspended sentence for driving under the influence on Sept. 26. At the time a preliminary breath test revealed she had a .32 blood alcohol content.

She pleaded guilty to the DUI and was sentenced on Oct. 15, when she was told not to drink anymore.

She was arrested again on Dec. 16 when deputies found her lying on the ground near her Gardnerville Ranchos home after responding to a domestic dispute.

She said she left home after an argument with her husband, tripped and fell. She had a .246 percent blood alcohol content the second time.
