Volunteers needed for Noel dinner

Volunteers are needed for St. Gall Catholic Church's 12th annual Noel Christmas Day dinner for those without family. A planning meeting is 9 a.m. Saturday at the church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. Volunteers are needed for set up, food prep, decorating, greeting, serving, and clean-up, and are also invited to dinner.

The purpose of the family-style dinner organized by volunteers is to offer companionship for people who might be alone on the holiday. There were 103 served at last year's Noel dinner.

Community members, singles or a couples, are invited to the Christmas Day dinner.
