The R-C Morning Report

Douglas County commissioners meet at Stateline 1:30 p.m. today, with County Manager T. Michael Brown's personnel review top of the list. They aren't taking public comment during the item, so if you've got something to say, go early. Also on the agenda is a presentation on the Zephyr Water Utility District, which apparently leaks like a sieve.

The Thirsty Third Thursday Wine Walk is this evening in Gardnerville, and the Cordes Cousins will be at Joyce's Fine Jewelry in The Record-Courier Center to sign Frieda's Files as part of the festivities. The walk is $10, plus $5 for a glass. Register at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center starting at 4:30 p.m.

It's going to be sunny with a high in the upper 80s. The breeze will pick up this afternoon, but it won't be much to speak of. Windier weather is in the forecast for Friday and Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised to see a fire weather watch in there somewhere.
