Firefighters are battling a house fire at 606 Diamond Valley Road in Woodfords. East Fork firefighters from Minden, Sheridan, Genoa, Gardnerville, Minden, the Gardnerville Ranchos have been called out to aid Alpine volunteers in the structure fire.
The only person involved in the Father's Day beating death of Terrence Howell to avoid prison is in district court for sentencing on a probation violation this morning. Sixteen year old Jimmy Holman faces prison, but District Judge Dave Gamble asked Holman's attorney to come to court with some options. It doesn't help that Holman's mother, Nina K. Gomez is being arraigned in Gamble's court this morning.
The National Weather Service is saying rain is likely after 11 a.m. today. The high will climb to 65 degrees, which is roughly what the wind gusts will be through the day. Rain showers will hit before 11 p.m. and then rain and snow showers are likely. The snow level is supposed to drop to 4,800 feet
