Recycling a ponytail

Nine-year-old Mason Prosser looks at her cut ponytail at Tangles Salon in Gardnerville while stylist Jenn Wing cuts the rest of her hair for a Locks of Love donation on Saturday at the Gigs 4 Wigs event at the salon. It was Mason's first time donating her hair to Locks of Love. Wing said there was a total of 87 inches donated to Locks of Love, the stylists gave 105 haircuts and $2,700 was raised for wigs for the salon's Giving Room, a space set aside to provide wigs to residents underging cancer treatment.
