Updates on former Douglas High standouts

Chris Balcom-Miller, P, Asheville Tourists (Rockies Single-A): Balcom-Miller is expected to play for the Single-A Asheville Tourists once he returns to action, but he has been injured all spring and a date for his return hasn't yet been set.


Jordan Hadlock, fr., C, Cal Poly: Cal Poly went 1-2 against UC Santa Barbara last week and dropped to 9-21 on the year. Hadlock has started seven games and played in 19 while batting .333 with a double, a triple, five RBIs and a stolen base.


Ryan Laing, jr., 1B, New Mexico State: The Aggies went 2-1-1 against Nevada last week in their WAC opener. Laing is red-shirting this year.


Niko Saladis, jr., OF, Southwest Baptist: Southwest Baptist lost a four-game series to Northwest Missouri State. Saladis is batting .291 with four doubles, a triple, a home run and 20 RBIs. He's also stolen eight bases.

Roman Davis, jr., C, Ashford: The Saints swept a two-game series from Purdue-North Central to extend their win streak to six games. Davis is batting .277 on the year with three doubles, a triple, a home run and 26 RBIs in 20 starts.


Tyler May, fr., P/OF, Western Nevada: May is out for the season after shoulder surgery. The Wildcats are currently riding a 12-game win streak. They swept a four-game series from Eastern Utah last week.


Troy Torres, fr., INF, Allan Hancock College: Allan Hancock beat College of the Canyons and lost to Oxnard last week.


Beau Davis, fr., C, Allan Hancock College: Allan Hancock beat College of the Canyons and lost to Oxnard last week. Davis is batting .364 on the year.


Tyler Hoelzen, fr., P, Feather River: The Golden Eagles have won 12 in a row, including three against Siskiyous last week. Hoelzen is carrying a 4-2 record with a 1.98 ERA in 36.1 innings pitched. He's started seven games and has 20 strikeouts.


Jeff Crozier, fr., SS, Lassen: Crozier is batting .222 on the year and has started all 24 games for Lassen. He has three doubles and 13 RBIs on the year.


Jeff Young, jr., OF, Siskiyous: Young is batting .337 on the year with eight doubles, two home runs and 14 RBIs.

Stephanie Harper, fr., OF/P, Concord: Harper is batting .263 with four doubles, two home runs and 16 RBIs on the year. She's appeared in only two games as a pitcher, but has a 1.50 ERA with two strikeouts.

Ryan Bertucci, sr., Chico State: Bertucci won the high jump at the Chico Twilight Distance Carnival with a leap of 6-7.


Skylar Young, jr., Chico State: Young took fifth in the 800 Invitational at the Chico Twilight Distance Carnival, running a 2:18.97.


Nick Lonnegren, sr., Chico State: Lonnegren ran a leg on the fourth-place 4x400 relay team at the Chico Twilight Distance Carnival. He ran the anchor leg on the 4x100 relay squad that took third and took second in the 100 with a time of 10.80.
