Entertainment at CVI

Live entertainment in the Cabaret Lounge at the Carson Valley Inn is featured 6-11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, with no cover charge or drink minimum.

Today and Saturday, Denim & Lace plays country, classic rock, oldies, standards and swing. The group features Western Swing Hall of Famer Lollie Jones on fiddle, mandolin, guitar, sax, drums, bass and vocals. She has appeared in Las Vegas in "Legends" and "American Superstars"as Dolly Parton, Cindy Lauper and Barbara Mandrell. The group includes Dan Crib on guitar, sax and vocals and Lanny Hanson on drums.

Sunday through Wednesday, Steve Lord, the man of a thousand songs, plays guitar and sings oldies, country, pop, blues, jazz, soul and rock 'n' roll.

Art reception Tuesday

An artists' reception is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday for the Carson Valley Arts Council's Western art show, running through April 28 at the Copeland Cultural Arts Center, 1572 Highway 395, Minden. Refreshments and no-host bar. Area artists display watercolors, oils, pastels, silk painting and textile art, photography and leather tooling.
