A half-acre brush fire behind MontBleu in Stateline has closed Loop Road.
Firefighters are responding to the intersection of Loop Road and Heavenly Village.
The fire was reported at 10:28 a.m.
Douglas County deputies and South Lake Tahoe Police are responding to the fire.
High gusty winds are blowing at Lake Tahoe, with gusts of up to 44 mph at Edgewood Golf Course, according to the National Weather Service.
