Gymkhana two-day event at fairgrounds

Silver State Gymkhana Club hosts a competition Saturday and Sunday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Pinenut Arena. Sign-ups at 9 a.m. Events begin at 10 a.m.

Events include Figure 8, Big T, poles and barrels in different age divisions.

The high point rider in each age group wins tickets to the Clinton Anderson Wahl Walkabout Tour at the Reno Livestock Event Center on Nov. 7 and 8.

This year is the 25th anniversary of the Silver State Gymkhana Club. Funds generated from the cook shack at the club's 10 competitions and from raffle tickets sold by the riders are used to pay for operating expenses and awards.
