CV Photo Club hosts show Nov. 2 - Dec. 12

Staff Reports

Debbie Marsh's photo of a pensive cat staring out a window, titled "What a Beautiful Day," won first place in the Carson Valley Photo Club's October contest. The theme for the month was "view from a window."

Marsh was a double winner, taking third place for a photo of grazing cattle taken through a window. Second place went to Merry Muller for her photo of flowers.

There will be no November contest, because of the club's photo show, Nov. 2 - Dec. 12, at the Copeland Cultural Arts Center, 1572 Highway 395, Minden. A reception is 6-8 p.m. Nov. 10 at the arts center.

The show features works of more than two dozen club members. Many photos will be available for purchase.

The club meets at the usual place, Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville, on 6:30 p.m. Dec. 8. "Humor" is that month's theme and entries may have been taken any time during 2009.

Information, Pat Stanley, 790-0440.
