The Douglas High cross country team settled its lineup for the Northern 4A Regional Championships at the final conference meet of the season last week at Galena.

"They both ran a really great race against a strong Galena team and Scotty is looking primed to complete his senior year with a great finish," Douglas coach Jay Frey said.

Senior Jeremy Tigh (16:06) squeaked out a win over teammate Tanner DeGiovanni (16:08) to get in as Douglas last qualifier for regionals.

"Jeremy has made a huge push this year as a senior to leave his mark and it was great to see him run his last conference race so well," Frey said.

Also running for Douglas were Kory Koskin (16:59), Billy Rubino (17:56), Nickoli Kallman (19:32) and Kevin Kendrick (24:11).

"Seniors Amber Emerson (19:58), Lydia Ogles (20:24), and Becca Neuffer (21:15) ran really great races to finish out the conference season and were great models for the rest of the team to follow throughout the year," Frey said. "It's great to see a solid core of young runners representing our team, and look forward to see their progress in years to come."
