Man out $6,000 in house refinance

A Johnson Lane man filed a complaint against Waypoint Law Group after he said the agency refused to refund $6,000 he paid to have his house refinanced.

The man said he authorized two payments from his checking account to the business in September. He said he received a letter that he didn't meet their requirements.

The victim said he sent a certified letter which was signed for, but no one contacted him.

A Douglas County Sheriff's Officer called Waypoint Law Group and talked with a Lou Saggiani who told the officer the company had been taken over by an attorney named John Harrison.

The deputy forwarded the information to the Johnson Lane man and advised him to pursue the refund through a civil action.
