Preexistent word of God

Before anything was God was, before anything existed He did, before time began, He was timeless, and before we knew anything He knew everything. We are all limited when it comes to understanding limitless eternity. Our only hope of revelation comes from the only one who was there, God himself.

Listen to the words of the Apostle John. John 1:1-5, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."

The Bible tells us that before the foundation of the world, before anything was made the Word of God existed. The Bible also explains that the World of God is the very creative power of creation. In the book of the beginnings, the book of Genesis, the Bible describes how "God spoke and it was so."

Genesis 1:1-8, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. Then God said, 'Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.' Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day."

The Bible tells us that God cannot lie. The reason He cannot lie is because it is not His nature to lie and because when He speaks, whatever He says happens. The World of God not only existed before creation, but will continue after is has passed away. Jesus made it very clear in His own words.

Matthew 24:35, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."

And the greatest of all truths is found in John 1:14, "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Because the Word became flesh we were able to see the very nature of God revealed in a way we could understand. His life was an exact reflection of the glory of God."

Colossians 1:15-18, "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. The Lord Jesus Christ, the very essence of the Word of God always was and always will be the eternal Word of God."
