Fatal accident at Highway 4 and Wolf Creek Road

California Highway Patrol officers are working a fatal accident on Highway 4 near the junction with Wolf Creek Road in Alpine County.

Traffic is being allowed around the accident. Officers onscene report the highway should be open by 5:15 p.m. The report came in at 1:57 p.m. of a vehicle on its roof.

The road was closed while tow trucks pulled the vehicle out of the East Fork of the Carson River.
