Living with growth

Walmart, yea or nay is a losing argument for the nays. Time marches on, and now that the developers have discovered this part of Nevada, the population eruption shall continue to grow with attendant product and service needs. My wife and I settled here about 14 years ago after abandoning our birth home of Los Angeles and that shall always be a continuing story of population growth. We were not yet here when Scolari's, Raley's, and Smith's became a part of the community, but I am confident that they came to supply a need and they still do well in other locations despite Walmarts. Small town Carson Valley is growing out of its small town confinement, and while there are those among us who would prefer to remain that way, and I fully understand that, but life is not shackled to a status quo. Try and learn to live with growth. It is here.
