Football: Raiders bring back kick returner Justin Miller, place Bowie on IR

ALAMEDA, Calif. - The Oakland Raiders brought back kick returner Justin Miller and placed defensive back John Bowie on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Miller was among the last cuts before the season. Miller joined the Raiders halfway through last season and returned two kicks for touchdowns, averaging 24.8 yards per return. Oakland is averaging 19.3 yards per return this season. Miller also plays defensive back.

Bowie was selected in the fourth round in 2007 with the pick the Raiders acquired from New England for Randy Moss. Bowie has played in just five games in his career, recording no tackles.
