Calendar sale benefits Austin's House

Sales of a 2010 calendar featuring artwork drawn by children who have stayed at Austin's House will benefit the group foster home.

The 2010 Austin's House calendar is $15. Place check or credit card orders by Nov. 13 with Conrad Buedel at tahoeconrad@charter.net or 267-6676. Calendars are available for pickup at Austin's House on Nov. 30.

Austin's House is a group foster home in Douglas County built entirely with community donations and open since September 2007. Austin's House provides services and care for up to 10 children from infants to age 18. Children are placed at Austin's House after being removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Austin's House provides basic living necessities including proper nutrition, hygiene, rest, nurturing, recreation, companionship, life skills training and education.
