Firefighters respond to half-acre Alpine County blaze

Alpine County firefighters are responding to a half-acre fire sparked by lightnin in Cottonwood Canyon.

The fire was first reported at 6:10 p.m. when observers spotted a smoke plume rising southeast of Indian Creek Reservoir.

Woodfords volunteers and federal firefighters responded to the blaze.
