Regularly scheduled testing sessions for amateur radio licenses for 2009 will be held at the Silver State Charter High School, 3719 N. Carson St., Carson City. The Big Five Sporting Goods store is next door.
The examinations take place on July 18, Sept. 19, and Nov. 21. Registration starts at 9 a.m., with the exams to follow. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome as well.
The examination fee for 2009 is $15. Participants can make checks payable to ARRL-VEC. Two forms of photo identification are required for all individuals taking the exams. Individuals who are upgrading an existing license must bring their original license and a photocopy of that license, as well as originals of any CSCEs.
