Sharon Marie Buchheister

A reception will be at Silver Oak Country Club 2-5 p.m. Saturday in honor of Carson City resident Sharon Marie Buchheister, who died March 24, 2009, after a brief illness.

Born to Woodrow and Cassie Davis in Hamilton, Mont., on Oct. 12, 1940, she was a 35-year resident of Carson City, where she and husband Charlie Buchheister owned Capital Jewelers.

Mrs. Buchheister retired from the business 18 months ago, and was residing in Hermiston, Ore.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charlie on Aug. 16, 1998.

She is survived by daughters, Darcie Westin of Hermiston, Ore., Dalene Griffiths and Dawn Smith, both of Gardnerville; stepson Jim (Faye) Buchheister of Reno; step-daughter Cathy (Brent) Barr of Medford Ore.; grandsons Eric Hochendonner of Oregon, Levi Westin of Hermistion, John Lindstrom, Bill and Jay Griffiths of Gardnerville, Sam and Hannah Barr of Medford; granddaughter Jamie Buchheister of Reno and three great-grandchildren.

The family has asked that donations be made in her name to the Merriner Cottages in Carson City in care of Carson Tahoe Foundation. Envelopes will be also be available at the reception.
