The R-C Morning Report

It's the Friday the 13th edition of The R-C Morning Report. I'll be getting on an airplane in four hours to see my folks in southern Arizona. Joey Crandall will be handling the morning show on Monday through Wednesday. I'll be back on the stick on Thursday morning.

The Genoans extended the deadline for Candy Dance crafters beyond today, but that doesn't mean that they would be happy to see you today. They are also looking for participants for the St. Patrick's Day Potluck on Tuesday. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. They'll have the corned beef covered, just bring a salad or side dish.

Remember to vote for Gardnerville's Megan Crandall, whose recipe is in the top 10 in the Quaker Oats Viewer Quickfire Challenge Contest. No relation to the aforementioned Joey, her recipe for peaches and cream oatmeal cookie ice cream sandwich sounds delicious. To vote go to http://quickfire.bravotv.co m/quickfire/viewall.php

The weather today will be sunny and nice. Expect the high temperature to tickle 60 degrees. With a 5 mph wind that will die down as the day progresses. It will be windy on Saturday, so enjoy it while it lasts.
