'Juvie' in Carson

Carson Performing Arts presents the social awareness drama, "Juvie," by Jerome McDonough at the Carson Community Center at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. March 12. "Juvie" dramatizes teen issues with crime and incarceration in juvenile hall. Admission is donation only with half the proceeds going to social services. Information, (775) 230-8919.


'Annoyance!' comedy at CVI

The Dakota Organization presents the adult comedy "Annoyance!" by Sam Bobrick at the Carson Valley Inn on March 12-15.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. March 12 show, $18 general admission, seniors 60-plus $15; 6:30 p.m. March 13 and 14 dinner shows, $45 general, $40 seniors; and 11:30 a.m. March 15 champagne brunch show, $45 general, $40 seniors.

Guitarist in concert

The Carson Valley Arts Council concert series continues with jazz and blues guitarist Chris Cain on March 13 at the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda in Minden. A wine, beer and cheese reception sponsored by Tahoe Ridge Winery is at 6 p.m. Desserts by Bravo Cafe & Bakery served at 8:30 p.m. Admission is a $15 donation at the door. Information, 782-8207.


'Cats' in Carson

Carson Performing Arts performs the Broadway musical "Cats" at the Carson Community Center's Bob Boldrick theater. Performances are 7:30 p.m. March 27, 28, April 3, 4 and 2 p.m. March 29 and April 5.

Tickets are $8 for children and Carson High School students, $9 for students and seniors and $10 general admission.

'Hollywood Arms'

Carson Valley Community Theatre presents the Broadway play, "Hollywood Arms," at the CVIC Hall in Minden.

The comedic drama was written by Carol Burnett and daughter Carrie Hamilton and is based on Burnett's 1986 memoir, "One More Time."

'Beauty and the Beast, Jr.'

The Wild Horse Children's Theater presents the production of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast, Jr.," at 7 p.m. on April 24, April 25, May 1, 2, 8 & 9 and 4 p.m. April 25, 26, May 2, 3, 9 and 10 at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St., Carson City.

More than 100 children from Carson City, Carson Valley, Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Fallon, Dayton and Lake Tahoe make up the cast. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors/students, $5 for ages 12 and younger. Children 3 and younger free. Purchase tickets at 887-0438 or at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada.
