The R-C Morning Report

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook calling for strong thunderstorms to develop north of Susanville and east of Fallon this afternoon and then move south and west. Severe downburst winds will be the biggest danger, but large hail and heavy rains may also accompany the storms. There's a 20 percent chance of precipitation.

Check out the movie in Gardnerville at Heritage Park tonight. They're showing the 3D version of "Journey to the Center of the Earth," and if the weather holds it will be a nice night.

The Pony Express re-ride is in Sacramento this morning and looks like it's made up enough time to arrive at its destination in Old Sacramento very nearly on time. Riders are only 30 minutes behind now. Congratulations to members of the National Pony Express Association for another successful adventure.
