The R-C Morning Report

A 20-year-old Gardnerville man faces up to 10 years in prison in Douglas County District Court this morning. Andrew Williams Tagay admitted to one count of attempted robbery with a gang enhancement in connection with a March 12 incident in which he and another man, Miguel Rubio, 21, attacked two teenagers on their way home from returning a DVD to a grocery store as Tagay yelled "Tokers."

A woman who told East Fork Justice of the Peace Jim EnEarl she would be better off in prison is to appear for arraignment in district court this morning on a charge of felony identity theft. Ashley Makara, 20, who admitted to being a heroin addict, said she's been arrested 14 times. On May 6, she was arrested in South Lake Tahoe for trying to obtain a driver's license at the Gardnerville Department of Motor Vehicles using her sister's identification.

The big finish for this latest set of thundershowers is supposedly tonight and Tuesday when the chance of precipitation hits 40 percent drops to 30 percent on Tuesday and tapers off on Wednesday. Summer should be arriving any day now, with highs climbing to 88 on Friday.
