EDITOR:
My family would like to genuinely thank Miki Trujillo and the students of All Students Pursuing Integrity, Responsibility and Education for their heart warming efforts in creating and finishing the memorial mural remembering fallen friends in front of the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center. We are the parents and brother of Candice Beam who grew up in this valley and tragically died 18 months ago.
This beautiful mural brings tears to our eyes as a reminder of the tragic loss of our beautiful daughter and sister; yet tears of joy for all the wonderful memories there are of Candice within ourselves and so many people in this valley.
The artwork for all of our beloved daughters, sons, family and friends that have moved onto their next dimension holds so much beauty and love within its colors.
We will visit this mural often, thinking about how wonderful Miki Trujillo and her ASPIRE students are.
