Sentencing delayed in DUI

East Fork Justice Jim EnEarl continued sentencing Lucus Lombardo for one week, saying he wants to consider options for the 32-year-old man who has generated 16 justice court cases.

"I want to sit on it for a week," EnEarl said. "If I do it now, you'll get six months in jail."

Lombardo pleaded guilty to driving under the influence.

He asked EnEarl to be released because he volunteered this weekend to help out at the Kids' Fishing Derby.

"I'm asking for one last chance," Lombardo said. "It's time to grow up. I'm 32 years old and I have four kids."

Lombardo said he was moving from the Valley.

"You won't be seeing me again. I've been here most of my life. It's time to move on," he said.

EnEarl said he wanted to protect the community from Lombardo's immaturity and "criminal indifference."

"You're not going to quit smoking pot and you're not going to quit drinking," EnEarl said.
