Carson Valley high schoolers Grant Denny and Becka Glocknitzer posted a number of strong showings at the recent National High School Finals Rodeo in Farmington, N.M.
Denny took third in his first performance in bareback and finished 12th in the first go round.
He rode his first bull for 7 seconds and he posted a 58 score on his second, but opted for a re-ride and went 7.9 seconds.
Glocknitzer took fifth in her first performance in cutting with a score of 209 and posted a 203 to take eighth in her second. She finished the week in 31st overall out of 100 entries.
The rodeo featured 1,175 competitors overall.
