Margarita Christina Leonis and Kyle Sager are engaged to be married Aug. 15, 2009, at the Genoa Lakes Golf Course.
Margarita is the daughter of Michele (Oxoby) Leonis, originally from Gardnerville, and the late Juan Jose Leonis originally from Dona Maria, Spain.
Margarita is a 2002 graduate of Douglas High School. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006, and from Sierra Nevada College with a Master of Education degree in May 2007.
She is kindergarten teacher at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Yakima, Wash.
Kyle is the son of Debbie Taylor of Sequim, Wash., and Mel Sager of Cowiche, Wash.
He graduated from Selah High School in 2001 and from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2005.
He is a sales representative for Washington Fruit and Produce in Yakima.
The couple live in Selah, Wash., where they have purchased a home.
For their honeymoon, the couple plan to attend a Duke basketball game at Cameron Stadium and tour the East Coast in spring 2010.
