USC alumni host send-off party July 25

The University of Southern California Northern Nevada-Lake Tahoe Alumni Club will host its 25th annual Beach, Band and Barbecue from 3-6:30 p.m. July 25 at Zephyr Cove Resort.

The event features a live concert by the USC Trojan Marching Band, performances by the flag-twirlers and an alumni club SCend Off for eight area students while welcoming back alumni and returning students.

A raffle and a silent auction will also take place, with prizes ranging from golf packages to signed sports memorabilia.

Those who are interested can purchase tickets ahead of time. It's $40 for adults and $15 for returning students and children 12 years old and younger.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $50. All proceeds go to student scholarships.
