Six new University of Southern California students will be among those honored at the annual University of Southern California Northern Nevada-Lake Tahoe Alumni Club's SCend Off 3-7 p.m. July 26 at Zephyr Cove Resort.
The event will feature the Trojan marching band, song girls, cheerleaders and flag twirlers in addition to a live band and barbecue.
The club sponsors the SCend Off every year for incoming students, returning students and alumni in Northern Nevada and Lake Tahoe.
Scholarships will be awarded and there will be a raffle and silent auction. Money raised from the event is used for student scholarship, according to club President Ann Rasmussen.
