Hair stylist returns to Gardnerville salon

After a two year absence, Gardnerville resident and veteran hair stylist Trilja Laird has returned to Beachcomber in Gardnerville.

"I left for two years, worked for the school district a little and also worked at Cost Cutters," she said. "I've been back at Beachcomber for two weeks."

Laird, who has been cutting hair in the Valley for 30 years, said she was prompted to return to the Gardnerville salon after being named regional treasurer of the Fleet Reserve Association.

"With the meetings and stuff, I needed something where I could be my own boss again," she said.

The 1978 Douglas High grad offers styling, clipper cuts and perms.

Laird is available 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesday through Friday, and Saturdays by appointment.

Beachcomber is located at 1507 Highway 395. Call 782-9444 for more information.
