Jack Douglas Brace

A memorial service is Saturday at FitzHenry's for Jack Douglas Brace who died July 8, 2009, at his home in Minden. He was 71.

Mr. Brace was born Aug. 2, 1937, in Flint, Mich.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was an industrial radiologist.

He pursued his love of flying by attending school for flight training instructors while crop dusting.

Mr. Brace met the love of his life, Meredith Roelofs, and was married June 20, 1971, in Reno.

He enjoyed flying, sailing, golf, and most of all sharing his life with his wife of 38 years. She was at his side when he died.

Mr. Brace retired seven years ago as a quality control and safety inspector in the manufacturing industry. He was an active member of the Winhaven homeowners association.

He was well-known for his sense of humor, good nature and as a friend to all.

He is survived by his devoted wife Meredith.

A memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday at FitzHenry's, 1380 Highway 395, Gardnerville. A reception is to follow at the family home.
