Three Rooms Gallery/Felix Pottery make ceramic art and attach bells for the Ben's Bells Project, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the gallery. Artists team with the Partnership of Community Resources to spread the power of kindness.

After their Carson Valley Days Pasta Feed and second annual Walk, Jog, Run for your Health event in June, the Partnership of Community Resources started the Carson Valley version of the Ben's Bells project.

The project comes from a similar project begun in Tucson in 2003, a year after Ben Marc-Packard died of croup just before his third birthday. His family created ceramic art with attached bells called Ben's Bells and hung them around town to remind people to be kind to each other.

The Partnership of Community Resources and Three Rooms Gallery/Felix Pottery will set aside days during the summer when members of the community may create art pieces to be hung around town to spread the power of kindness.

Three Rooms Gallery, home of Artisan's Shoppe, Felix Pottery, and Artisans International, is at 1459 Highway 395, Gardnerville.

The gallery features the work of more than 40 local artists and work from international artists. In-studio classes are given in a variety of mediums. Information, 782-5434.
